ALRC calls for submissions on class action reform

The ALRC is to provide its report by end of 2018 into Federal class actions and the involvement of litigation funders and whether the current mechanism still provides access to justice. Of particular note is whether the costs of such proceedings are appropriate and proportionate and looking at allowing lawyers to charge contingency fees where no litigation funder is used.
